#55814, "Really weird electrical problem"

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has seen this type of problem or knows what it might be...i have a 96 RS with an aftermarket head unit, small amp and sub, and XM radio...nothing ridiculuous really, however recently ive been having a really strange electrical prob....when the car is turned on the interior and exterior lights all dim in and out intermittently, if i put my foot on the brake my radio will shut off then come back on as soon as the brake lights are disengaged.....then when the car is shut off all power is lost and the car will not crank at all....if press the dome light button a couple times or open and shut the door a few times all of a sudden the power will come back and i have a dome light again...and the car will start....this started out as a very sporating thing and now its non stop....my battery is a stock mitsu one about 3 yrs old and alternator etc is OEM....I was thinking it could be one of those two things.....any ideas? thanks

It sounds like you have a short somewhere. Did you install your system yourself? If you had it installed professionally, take it back...they should fix it without charging you. I have a friend who had the same problem with his little Civic, but he had a short in his aftermarket alarm. How long after you put your system in did you start noticing the problem??
