Well, I think I'm selling the Talon, but I'm buying a 97. I think I've narrowed the colors down to black or white, I've heard black is impossible to keep clean, and shows every scratch, but I know it looks SO good when all shined up. Anyone want to talk me out of or into either color??? By the way, I want another set of chrome rims eventually if that makes a difference in anyones opinion.

dude i have black and da peeps on this board that have seen my car know just HOW much dents/scratches/etc i have. i cringe everytime i think about poor Juliet getting dented :{
but when she's clean oh boy... god she looks so sexy!
if u want to clean ur car every week and spend 3 hours washing/drying etc like i do... then by all means get black... i think black cars look faster and more exp. den white cars... but if i had to do it all over again... i would NOT get black.

Don't Get Black! We were just talking about it at the body shop today. Black is THE worst color to get for long term maintenance. It absorbs the most light, so the clear coat starts fading and cracking the soonest. I know a couple people with 95 eclipses black where the paint is already all ruined. Also, it is hardest to keep clean, shows swirl marks very easily, and is just really not worth it in my opinion. A lot of people love black, but since you're buying a used car, I would stick with a longer term color, which would be white. Good luck on whatever you choose...

my crustang was black and it looked soooooooooooo good "when it was clean" but i was always cleaning it wash wash wash wax wax wax wipe it down everyday, used special wax and cloths but it was so sexy "when it was clean" i'll never have another black car. i have a hard enough time keeping up with the black on the top part of my talon i'm glad the whole thing isn't black but if u have LOTS of time to just devote to cleaning ur car then get black it's the best looking

Well, i have no choice but to say white yo! I mean if ur a white guy, buy a white car....it makes me look darker than my pale azz really is.
No really, I like white, but u gotta clean it just as much as black. But the cool thing is, wax lasts along time on it, it always looks shiny, swirls are really hard to see, the same for water spots (except rain, ohh damn!..Plus its a lot cooler during the summer. But yeah, black does look faster imo. White cars just look slow, i mean mine is in real life, but hey at least with the body kit and shit---it looks FASTERRRR!

White. I really didn't like white cars until I bought my 99 RS. I think it looks great. I wash my car a lot anyways but I really don't need to unless it rains real hard. Even then water spots are hard to see. Black is cool, but yeah extremely hard to keep clean and not really worth the hassel in my opinion.
If you do go with white paint the top to match. Talons look a lot better with color keyed tops. Like Corbins, his looks great.

Dude, white looks like crap. I dont mean any disrespect to all of the white car owners on this board, but its ugly. Its not fancy. Black is great and very very fancy looking if you keep it good. I've seen really scratched ugly ones but theres a guy on here with an eclipse thats black with those red and silver taillights and his is a beauty to say the least. I jus dont like white.

I currently own a White 97 GS (Auto) which I'm about to sell to get a Manual and I'm going to get White again... I love the color on our cars (though I don't on most others because it's so common). I think it looks more aggressive.. especially when you're coming up on someones ass. Ride in front of a white one that's speed up on your butt... you'll move, and so will everyone else (trust me.. from experience). The combinations of the look of the headlights offsetting the white with the rest of the accents looks sweet.

Thanks guys. . . .looks like white is a better color for a daily driver, maybe if it were more of a weekend or show car it would be ok to have black. Thanks again!

Black is great and very very fancy looking" lets not even go into that one...but anyway hes got it backwards...no disrespect to the black car owners but... theyre impossible to keep clean they show marks too easily they get too hot the clearcoat always gets roasted you cant see their body kits you cant see their cars period neither black or white is "fancy" neither black or white is a color but white is better on every level except one...chrome looks better on black. ill never own a black car

i just had to throw this in, i saw a aqua 97-98 talon the other day and that thing was a beauty. i kinda like having distinct colors. Also, remember the white talon will have a black roof, that bothers some people (unlike me )
