Well the time has come to put the car back into the body shop to get some more work done for next show season. I'm mainly looking for ideas here about anything custom you can think of that I could do to the car. We already have a ton of ideas about stuff to do, a few have never been done to an eclipse as far as I know. Show me some cool pics of conversions, head light and tail light, or anything cool done to an eclipse or tell me some cool stuff that you would like to see done. Body work, custom interior stuff, engine bay, hatch area. whatever you can think of.

can never go wrong with a widebody kit, importfan has been developing the TRD style kit for months, its gotta be ready by now. I can almost garauntee something like that to be a showstopper. The only headlight conversion worth doing is the S15, other than that the eclipse headlights are more aggressive than anything else out there, and any tail light conversion is outta the question... all the one's ive ever seen look aweful. As for the engine, im thinking some kinda boost and a massive IC to fill that front fascia. Btw, I went with the no wing look for a while and yeah its clean, but I love my GST wing now. In retrospect, I might have gone with something like the importfan CF dragger wing, or the APR GT1 or GT2 wing, keep it low and tasteful. Nothing looks worse than an eclipse with one of those 4 foot tall monstrocities.

yeah, i was thinking some sort of widebody maybe. s15's are nice, dunno. i'm not gonna do a tail conversion....eclipse tails are badass stock..

no wing for me...or maybe a cf wing from import fan.

how about scoops on top of the quarter panel. Or how about a s15 taillights. maybe even supra headlights.

Okay, I think Supra headlights just wouldn't work with our body lines, would look fugly IMO. S15 headlights are awesome though!! I love that conversion, maybe that with Z3 fenders would be sweet.

One of my favorite eclipses of all time - S15 headlight conversion, badass paintjob, alum wing, and supra tails. 1) This is the only Eclipse I have ever liked the looks of the wing on 2) Definitely could have done a better job on the tails, they look out of place.

3) Please don't put a wing on your car . . . because of you and a couple others on the board I have decided to go wingless.

I'm going against the masses here when i say a big HELL NO to S15 headlights. Please please don't change the head lights/tail lights. I would consider a wide body make over. Remember the black wide bodied gsx on superstreet? The wide body would really show off the paint job. Maybe a new front end, different wheels?

Check around to see if you can find a pic of a 2G with a 3G RX7 taillight conversion.

I am the first and foremost HATER of body mods. Kits, spoilers, scoops, fenders...all that crap. (No offense guys, but our cars are beautiful stock!) But this conversion looks amazing. If you're familiar with those taillights, they're very unique, and just plain fit phenomenally with our rear end. You have to stick the end of the truck in between to make the lines flow, but it's well worth it. Only seen it once, but wow...nothing compares.

S15'd look a bit big on our car for some reason. If you want to try something different, I've always thought Avenger headlights would look pretty mean on our cars. Shouldn't be too hard to mod either.

It's funny, when I first bought my car I considered doing a few conversions or kits because I wanted to be different from the rest of the eclipses out there...but now keeping it stock will actually make it stick out better!!

u could relocate the ecu and fuse box and remove a/c power steering and the wiper fluid holder and shoot the engine bay and go chrome nutz like this eclipse in seattle i saw he had quote about 50g's in it after all the changes it went through...

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

yea if i do a headlight conversion i'll definately hook you up with my projectors man. i can't hook you up with the sides tho cause they are molded in and it will be a bitch to get them off, plus i like the type 2's anyway.

building a show car, i'm not throwin the money away, just adding to what i already have and fixing little shit that is wrong with it. it's mainly in the shop for interior work, and a few other things that won't change the looks until i hit a few buttons...

I have a few ideas on what you could do regarding lights. I thought about putting neon/leds in my vents like a year ago, but I found out like 2 months ago that that has been done a lot. Another thing that I have never seen and asked a few show goers if they saw was putting like either neon's or leds behind the side mirrors for a halo effect. Also, maybe get some leds in your side vents that are removable so when your out driving you can take them out so you don't damage them. Just a couple thoughts, but if you use them, you have to tell everyone that asks that Nackers gave me the idea emoji.

I'm not big on LED lighting or any extra lighting for that matter but that mirror halo effect seems really original... good idea.

how about "sliding" doors?? you know, kind of like a minivan. i dont know how you would pull it off or make it look good, but i have never seen that on any kind of compact car. i dont know, might be dumb. and try and think of some motorized shit for the interior, and fiberglass everything and do some crazy molding.
