i've been seeing many of these on ebay, but are they exact match from factory? because my factory tach goes up to 9000rpm, but the ones on ebay only goes up to 8000rpm. do they also fit pretty good?
TIA

I second the notion that the auto tachs only go to 8k because I have an auto emoji

manual tachs go to 9k, auto is 8k. my guages are for 9k, but the redline is at 7500 for some reason. i got them from procarparts.com. they are nice.

THat's where I got mine through too...they do fit nice and not that hard to put in. But I couldn't find the "reverse" glow ones with the 9K RPM set up. Kind wish I would have look more and took more time, but I'm pretty happy with them...besides I was looking for the look at daytime anyway. I love white faces w/ black numbers emoji

Cool, so they are for AT people... I didn't know that. So i assume most of the ebay ones are for AT people then... would they fit MT too? I just can't find a "cool" looking one with 9k limit. Know any cool places???

the reason 98% of the gauges youll see are redlined at 8K for auto is because the mfg's dont know the differences. im MT but i have the glow "auto" tach. and even at most places they say the 8K is for the MT too, which we all know isnt right. now the turbo glow gauges...they are all 9K, even the auto's. they think all NT's go to 8K and all turbo's go to 9K. im thinkin about just finding someone who is selling some cheap turbo ones and getting the 9K tach. now they do make that correct gauges, but only now after they realize that its not right. used to 8K was all you could get for NT's and they are still pretty scarce unless you go reverse glow

Here are the www.speedhut.com gauges and the www.importintelligence.com glowing needles

I think the 8K tach will fit on the MT but your RPMs will be way off

Nice guages emoji I have the same set. These are by far the nicest set out there. I have them in silver face, so they match my HVAC overlay, and they light up SO much better than stock, without being ricey.

As for the 8K/9K argument, there are MT's with an 8K tach according to machv.com. Never seen one myself, but I don't doubt it. That's why the ebayers are selling them as both.

As for those who are considering or who have put an 8k tach on a 9k car....don't do it. If you already have...take them off.

That's like putting a different speedo in there, don't you want an accurate measuring from the guages??

actually they (8k gauge on a MT) arent off any more than the stock gauges. even our stock tach is off by 200 ish rpm's...why do i know this? SAFC digital tach baby!! but yeah, someday im gonna swap out my 8K tach for a 9K...just for the look and the visible 7K redline rather than 6.5
