I fucked up my Talon a few times, but once I got it right the tint looked perfect and lasted. It was just autozone tint. The key is to get it VERY VERY soapy wet so you can move it all you want.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Yep they do use heat guns to get the film to take shape on curved glass.

Alot of times just calling around at local shops you can find a good deal and get you whole car done plus have a warranty on the tint. At the body shop I use to work at we did tint jobs and at the first of the summer the owner would run deals on tinting.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi- colored uppers, downers, screamers,laughers... Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

I had a guy do my back window with one sheet. the guy was a pro, he said " eclipses have the hardest rear window to tint". i did my side windows myself but the rear one is too hard.

I got mine done at a shop for $150. Not bad considering it came w/ a lifetime warranty, just in case it bubbles or fades.

While it was getting done, I got to see how the guy did the rear window. He used 2 pieces and followed the contour of the window antennae lines. He then used a blade alot of windex, and a heat gun to line them up just perfect.

you just said it yourself how is anyone even suppose to know if you discourage them to try let them try and for people that know how to tint let them help thats what this board is for. not everyone coming on here and someone just tells them dont do it only pros can do it youll never get good at anything if you dont try

yah thats tru but the guy who did mine took like 2 hours and has been tinting for like 15 years. Just save your self the trouble and have a pro do the back window. Do the side windows yourself they are pretty easy.

ha ha...yep that darn back window is a pain in the bottocks...
now as for the side windows on my gfs accord i couldnt get the paper to follow the countour of the window..guess i have to keep trying
'
and the reason i dont want to have my windows tinted by a shop is that i dont like anyone working on my car but me, especially the GST since im doing so much work on it i dont want anyone to get in or drive it..and plus no one knows what i have only me and those i trust.
That and the fact that im stuburn cause im not the kind of guy who likes giving up.
my moto- if a shop can do it so can i
thanks a bunch guys
