#5422, "Does blitz require removal of IMPACT REBAR?"

I want to get an aftermarket front bumper, but I don't want to remove the rebar. I'm sure if I get in an accident, the insurance will gimme a bunch of crap. I mean if it's not on there, the amount of damage would be considerably more devestating. My friend has a 95 Civic and installed some spaceship lookin' front bumper and removed the rebar, so then he hits some lady in the rear and trashed the radiator, fan and a few other things, insurance didn't pay.

For my Blitz (CARisma) they had to cut the bar so the bumper would fit. But in the rear it wouldn't fit at all so i have no bar back there.

I have the blitz rear and the sensei front and the rebar wouldn't fit behind either. but I don't know that because the damn POS boddy shop forgot to mention it. I just happened to notice when doing some work on my car. but if anything ever happens....I am clueless hehehe So don't tell my insurance co.

Hey Cyan, lemme clarify a little. I think you meant my bar fit, but your's didn't right?

My front bumper wasn't from VIS. That could explain why. I got a gray bumper, not yellow for my front. But my rear is VIS blitz and that does not fit the reinforcement bar back there. I guess the VIS front mold won't fit well then? Anyone else have any input?

But like icjeclipse said, if you really want to fit it, you can cut the bar in half like people do when installing a big Greddy Front mount intercooler...

I like the stock 97-99 bumper as well, that is why i replaced it with my Blitz. But i want to modify it at the top of the middle hole so it doesn't have that little ledge. But that means i would have to cut my front bar, which i don't have the tool to do.

Alright, cut the guy some slack. He's just doing business. But yeah, dude, if u wanna sell it, don't change the subject of someone's post to try. Make a post and sell it. U could try ebay. Anyhow, back on topic: I have the erebuni shogun 97-99 type 2 front. No bar here either. I think the only one that keeps the bar isthat stillen. It look so much like stock. maybe a few kits here and there. I dunno. Mot kits make u take it out.
