#54214, "carbon fiber fenders?"

Well for those of you that didn't know some ass decided to hit my car in a parking lot and didn't leave a note or anything. No point in calling insurance IMO cause of my deductible so I wont get any money outta it and my insurance could go up since I got insurance money last year when I hit a deer. I was gonna just leave the fender alone, since Im trying to sell my car in the near future but I cant stand the way it looks and my other fender has a small dent in it so I figure I'd try and get cf fenders. Not sure how it will look but I figure w/ my cf hood it wont look bad. If I ever find another stock bumper to replace mine, that has a lot of stratches, I might get a cf lip and maybe even that cf wing that just came out. Do any companies make cf fenders for our cars? if so how much are they? Also how do you think the lip, hood, fenders and wing would look? TIA

It would defently look interesting...I was thinking about getting them too....the only problem with squidskins cf fenders is there made for the Talon...and the Talon kept the same lights from 95 to 98...so actually they wouldnt fit the 97 to 99 body style like yourself and I have so I would recommend the Matrix ones on NOPI

hrm if i'm not mistaken all 2G fenders are the same.. hence when people do 95-96 to 97-99 body conversions all they change are headlights and bumpers :/ i could be wrong though..what do i know

If that is correct then....why is it the shape of the headlights are different.....and when groundeffects are sold(sorry I hate the sound of "bodykit" I am old school I guess) They are split between 95 to 96 and then 97 to 99....so so your saying the angular curve of the headlight is exactly the same where the fender meets the light for 95 to 99????

yup. the difference in shape is only where the headlights meet the front bumper. in middle between the headlights. that's the only part of the headlights that are different. changing the headlights only affects fitment with the front bumper. not the fender. get two pairs and compare. you'll see. emoji

Kinda pricy imo, but they are real carbon fiber (not carbon film) and have the z-3 gills. I think they look sweet ass, but I don't know what they would look like either with a red car and a carbon fiber hood. Anyone got pics of a eclipse or any other car with carbon hood and fenders?

i was squidskins US dist but noone ever coughed up money to buy his products....

Bill

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

i dont think it would look good. especially on a white car because it would be too dramatic of a change from the white to the dark, and would throw off the look of the car. maybe on a darker color. i would have to see it. maybe i will throw a photoshop together when i get home from work so you can check it out.

Yeah, do a photoshop of my car emoji. I am seriously thinking of doing this, but I don't want it to look like ass.

EDIT: I just thought about it. You could get the C/F ones and if you don't like the look, have them painted. It couldn't be too expensive. Just a thought.

ok i will whip something up for you guys. but it would be an expensive experiment over just getting new used stock ones which he could probably find in white.
