Ok, I just put it on and the damn thing won't lock in like the stocker would. Anybody have the same problem??? I need to get this thing on and finished tonight!!!

Also, does anybody have a write up for doing the hood pins?

I wish I could help you bro but I can't. Be glad you got your hood. Mine was suppose to be here today so I could have it for the show on Sat. I just called Airborne and gave the tracking number and they said it wouldn't be here till Monday now. I am pissed.

Did you get a VIS hood? What kind of hood did you get?

i use to use the patented ass-slam when i had a predator hood. try making a bouncing like movement pushing down on it with your hands. it sounds stupid but when all else failed with the predator the ass slam worked supreme

ass-slam - when you stand or lean over top of an object letting gravity slam your ass on the surface over the latch

Thats how I have to shut my hood everytime lol. Anyway, hood pins arent difficult to install. You can probably figure it out;-)

if you push down with more fource then usuall it still wont lock? I have one and i have to push more to lock it in

gravity wont close a c/f hood because it doesnt weight anything. the stock hood slams if you drop it, but with the c/f the air slows it down

no no no, I had the same prob, what you will have to do is take off the front pumper and grind out the holes fro the factory latch to move it up, you gana have to take off the front anyway to put the hood pins on(you should, read all the other posts of hoods that have flown off)

Ok, here's a little update.... While i was sitting there trying to figure out what to do, i looked over the hood a bit and found a crack on it and on the underside carbon fiber too. So unfortunately it has to go back and they're gonna send me another one i guess. thanks for the help though guys!

well when i got my VIS it wouldnt latch what i had to end up doing it taking a pliers and bending the safety latch out alitte because it was getting stuck. after that it closes perfect and you dont have to take ur front bumper off at all when installing hood pins just line it up and take it slow
