When you wired the LEDs for the cruise control button did you still need to use a resistor? I know you need one for the main light, but what about the ones that light up the on and off parts. TIA for your help

yes.. you will need a resistor for every led.. the car powers every standard lightbulb in the car with 12v.. and so you will need to reduce that voltage when chaning the bulb out with the led... also.. if you are good with sodering and customizing.. consider rigging the resistor to some of the circuit boards inline to where the 12v input would be coming into the board and then to the light socket where you will put the led and use the stock holding points for the light.. that way you make the buttons plug and play for most of them without having to splice wires and whats not..
