as long as it takes you to drive from your house to the body shop. you dont wanna be like the 7 diffrent color hondas out there thats just rediculous (sp?)

but yea while driving to the shop get a feel for it so that when you do get it painted you wont fuck it up to fast

take it to the shop in the back of a truck. Drive it painted. I dunno. Guess that's just me, but I wouldn't wanna be seen as "another guy with a primered kit." Not even for a minute or 5. I hate how low my new front is, but oh well. It's still good. You're gonna catch stares with a bodykit on. You only wanna catch stares when it's looking as good as it can. emoji

i had my car lowered before i had my kit put on. it was just like before. and now with the lip, well, that's just another story. if you are lowered and have no problems, then put the kit on. if you're not lowered, then the kit will look weird as hell with stock fender well.

i know no one wants to look all ghetto with a primered kit an stuff but people kinda recommend driving around with the kit for awhile to get a feel for it and how you hafta take ramps an stuff. even if you're not lowered, most aftermarket kits are lower than the stock fronts. drive it where-ever you plan on going once it's all painted and everything. it's easiest to make your mistakes before you get it painted an stuff. you don't wanna get everything all painted and then scrape it coming home pulling into your driveway...

You want to let any stress cracks that are going to happen happen before it's painted. A weeks worth of normal driving should take care of it.

you want to drive it around and get the stress cracks out of it then fix them with the fiberglass gel. let them dry and sand down smooth and then you should be ready for paint. if you rush it, it will look like shit... take your time and don;t listen to these guys saying go straight to the paint shop..... i deal with this stuff all the time.... your shit will stress crack so get it out now before painting

I am getting all kinds of quotes even after i dry fitted it and mounted it myself. I think they are being assholes on the price. I know Maaco has offered to repaint the entire car and fix the dents and dings for $600. Believe it or not i was getting quotes for 600 just to paint the kit itself.

$2200 bucks for body kit fixing (pin holes and other shit from shipping), fitment of kit, z3 fenders and headlights, and complete color change...oh and painting interior peices for me too.

"We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or great depression. Our great war is a spiritual war; our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very , very pissed off"

125$ my fucking balls....

no less than 500$...

any quality shop is gonna charge you alot, if you want a lifetime warrenty on the paint then close to 1000...

ide just go with the 4 year warrenty from maaco...i know you can get a whole car done for 900$ therem, so 4 or 500$ for the kit...

and youde be REALLY lucky if that kit fit perfect, you might have to take it to a bodyshop to get it fitted, unless u can work fiberglass.

Anyone on the Island I can get you a great deal on the body kit work. My uncle has a shop in Nassua. Its about 600 for the kit, but they do a great color match. Now if you go and you already have the kit installed, they will give you a better price, but they want the kit to be painted of the car, so you need to bring the body kit in off the car, then they install you install it yourself to save money..

Email for better details

If you live in Virginia.. my friend and I know some guy that will paint stuff really cheap..and he's very good.

my friend owns the blue one..the guy painted the front one.. very nicely done. The guy charged him $50 or 100 i believe? to paint the front and back? My friend just had to buy the supplies and drive down to the shop in central VA..right now he's getting his sideskirts fixed and painted and stuff..this guy is good. If you want to get something painted and you live somewhere in VA..let me know and i'll let my friend know and he'll let that dude know..

I've never had a kit on the car unpainted. I've never had stress cracks either. Guess my components don't know how to crack. emoji
