**Edit** If you don't know what piece I am talking about its the one with the front speaker cover....I have power windows and locks...I am not sure it that matters or not

No there are two pieces but the bolts are molded in so I can't get them apart....I may be wrong but I have it off now and it looks to me like there are two pieces....a top and a bottom

I am trying to make my interior look something like this guys http://www.cardomain.com/id/chrisbory and he has the bottom half of the door painted....I was just wondering if anyone knows how to seperate them...Thanks

RS panels are 1 big piece. GS is 2 or 3.

I took mine apart. They are little plastic tabs that are melted down to hold it together. I used a utility knife to cut them all off, it came apart pretty easy. After i got everything painted, i used tiny screws and washers to hold the door back together, and just as a caution i also went over the screws with hot glue. I pulled on them pretty hard to test them and they didnt come apart. Good luck.

i did the same thing i caut off the molded part and then used small screws and a hot glue gun. it worked great so far. its better than taping off imo. you always get some stray spary with taping off

Other than getting overspray, the contour of the lower piece and the pocket, it's hard to tape off and still get everything because you can't get down inside the pocket. If you want the best look, i would suggest taking it apart.

I might try to take it off but I'm not sure if I would be able to get it back together or not.....and I also thought about taping it off and I agree with you guys it wouldnt look as good.....I'm not sure what I am going to do yet...maybe just paint the big part that covers the doorhandle and the lock and window switches??? We'll see
