The stuff is gutter guard you can buy it at a home improvement store for about $3. Comes in a roll 6inches x 3feet. So not bad for $5.

that gutterguard is only like $1.50 for a 6" x 3ft sheet at home depot. it looks to be the same stuff to me. not worth bidding imo, just go to home depot.

Not only is it gutter guard you can buy at Home Depot, it's not big enough to cover the intake. I bought some from a guy on EBay. He said it was "custom fit" to my car. Also said he had install instructions. There was even a picture of an Eclipse. I thought - great. Ordered it only to realize it was a piece of the shitty gutter guard. I've never wanted to beat the living shit out of anybody as much in my life. Go get Grillcraft. It's made to fit exactly the first time. Another thing is - when you get it, how are you going to put it in? Bondo? Like I said it's not big enough to bend the edges and screw in. One thing I've learned about EBay, if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

Sorry to vent, but I got screwed and I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone here. You've been warned. If it's worked for someone else, good for them.

measuring, then caulking or zip ties, personally caulking looks cleaner and is easier. Hope that helps.

I've installed grill mesh on 6 body kits, and how I do it is like this:

Lay the bumper face down on a blanket so not to scratch it.

Cut out piece to cover holes and leave approx 1" extra all the way around.

With pliers, fingers, and a flat head screw driver, form the edges of the mesh to fit tight around the hole, trimming where there is too much, or where you cannot form the mesh tightly due to binding on the inside of the bumper.

To secure the mesh to the bumper, I use Bulldog Grip polyurethane construction adhesive. It comes in a caulking tube, and works phenominally. I have yet to have a piece of mesh fall off. To do an average bumper, I buy 2 tubes.

Lightly sand (120 grit) where you will be applying the adhesive, and lay a bead about 1/4" thick all around the opening.

Slide the mesh over the hole, and into the adhesive.

Now it's a good idea to wear rubber gloves when working with this glue, because if you get it on your fingers, It'll take about a week to get it off!! (no joke!)

Lay a second bead of adhesive over top of the mesh, and work the top bead into the bottom bead with your finger, making sure the mesh is embedded in the adhesive.

To esure the mesh stays put, and stays tight to the bumper, I put bricks or something with some weight on top of it until the adhesive dries.(about 12-24 hours depending on humidity, and temperature)

Had I known I would be writing this up, I would have taken pix when I installed mesh on a kit this past Friday. If I can get some completed pix of the bumper, I'll post them up later.

I know it's a lot of work, but the end results are perfect as long as you take your time, do it right, and DON'T be in a hurry!!

1995 Talon ESi
Lots of mods, still not enough.
It will never end...

Ok, I want to add some mesh to my car, but whoever owned it before me really loved to hit curbs and the opening has a bump right in the middleof the lower portion. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

I would recommend the same, i was gonna say use the polyurethane glue for windows\windshields, just in case its easier to find.

I used gutter guard from Lowes for 1.50 per piece. I used black zip ties for the middle gap in the car which works out good , they are hidden by the license plate and ae black so they cant be seen anyway....also, on the gaps on either side i used Bondo on the inside and bonded them to the inside of the bumper..it was really easy and once that Bondo hardens-it wont come off...The only bad part with the install is a bunch of little scrapes and stuff all over my hands and arms from the mesh gutter guard stuff, but its all good...but it turned out great, dont spend ur money on an expensive grille. GO GUTTER GUARD, lol
