#51087, "self paint job & valve cover"

i just got my oem 99 bumpers, and i really dont want to fork over so much money to have them painted. so i was thinking of painting them myself and see how they come out. What would i have to buy in order to have a good looking paint job as in clear coat, paint and whatever else i need, and any suggestions on how to do it. How much would i end up spending and where would i buy good paint?

by the way, wouldnt it be cool if we had a custome 2GNT valve cover? and with the word TURBO on it for us turbo guys!

Hey glad you got the bumpers,

Did they get their in one piece? I hope so because the packers were scaring the sh*t outta me when they were forcing the bumpers in.

Anyhow, unless you have the appropriate tools and knowledge (how much hardener, and how to blend the colors) than I personally wouldn't do it myself. Than again, if you're a do-it-yourselfer than I'm sure it's not a problem. I just think it's a lot harder than it looks

Don't have the stock Eclipse anymore
Just a stock Gsr now, emoji

no, it's not harder than it looks

i've done it to my old car, and in about a month i'm repainting the talon myself, clearcoat is the hard part, just make sure you keep the gun perpendicular to the surface you are painting
