#51028, "any comments about a Blitz kit?"

I just bought a 4 piece blitz kit off a kid who has a 96 eclipse for 300$. He explained to me the body shop told him the kit wouldnt fit. I have a 99 gs. I was led to believe that 95-99 kits were universal. what do you think? Am i goin to have problems puttin on/maintaning this fiberglass kit?

the headlights between the 95-96 are different (longer) then the headlights on a 97+. thats the only major difference that wouldnt cause it to fit right.

why would anyone want to down grade to a 95-96 look? emoji if its fiberglass, you can make anyheadlights you want fit. just takes time.

^^^^ WTF do you mean by downgrade??? just because is newer it does not mean is better. As far as maintaning the body kit good luck, I got rid of my blitz front bumper beacause it just a pain in the ass, specially if your lowered. I have the eibach prokit which is not that low but my bumper was all messed up when I got it out. Little scratches add up. Good luck anyway . Try getting some 18's that might help a little .

actually...he would have to have bought 97-99 headlights to fit his 95 or 96 eclipse...if you have a 97-99 the front will bolt right on without any modifications. They only time new headlights are needed is when the body kit is going on a pre-97 eclipse.

I would be a little concerned about the fiberglass though... Ive already shredded some fiberglass front ends AND a set of Z3's because of how low mine sits. Now I've gone with the Agressor front end just because its polyurethane

the 95-96's fog up a lot more frequently from what I've seen. No offense, but I would look at it as a downgrade too in that case. emoji

and for those who have the 95-96 lights and LIKE them, we dont need to hear that they are a downgrade to the almighty 97-99 headlights..think about it that way

I think you all got the story wrong anyway. He said the shop told his friend who had the 96 that it wouldn't fit. I am assuming then it was because he had the 97-99 kit. SO this kit should fit perfect on his car which is a 99. Correct me if i am wrong........

Also do not kid yourself our 95-96 headlights suck as far as looks and visibility. IMO Projectors aren't much better. I mean there is a reason most people convert to 97-99 body styles.

Hey, thanks a lot for the replys, and yes I do have the 97-99 headlights and I personally find them better looking than the 95-96. At this point, I'm stuck again with this kit. It doesnt have holes for the stock fogs to go in, I have two choices, cut and mold them in,which I'm not able to do, or disconnect the wiring to the stock fogs and connect them to aftermarket fogs and mounting them in one of the scoops, is this option even possible? The problem here being, I dont believe I can mount the stock ones with the black casing around it.

Ive seen a lot of blitz kits that have installed aftermarket foglights in the two scoops ...doesnt look too bad. I'd try to mount them behind mesh if possible tho. Then they woiuldnt even been that visible from the outside until you turned them on.
