I put my battery in the spare tire well....I had to grind out the piece that sticks up in between teh two drains. Then i bolted the straps down and ran a ground to one of the bolts that holds in one of the side trunk panels. The positive is runfrom the battery, to the side of the back seat, behind the side panel, down under the carpet. I had a hole drilled in the firewall, but i suggest The1Bills method of going through your steering boot. Then connect everything that is connected to your positive battery terminal and hook it up to the power wire. I suggest using the largest gauge wire you can get, can never be too big. Make sure you use a metal box, so if you ever wanna go to a track, you are all legal by NHRA standards n whatnot. Any more questions???

There are a bunch of rules to being NHRA-legal. You must have a sealed metal box. The battery must be mounted to the body, not the box, with fasteners of at least 3/8" fasteners (such as threaded rod). J-Hooks can not be used unless the J's are welded shut. There must be a vented dump tube to outside of the car from the box. There must be an outside mounted (on the back of the car) electrical cut-off switch that not only cuts power from the battery, but must also kill ignition and fuel power (must kill alternator feedback voltage also). If the switch used is a push-pull type, then the push position must be the "off" position. I believe that is it.

Oh yeah, I recommend running the power wire through the steering linkage boot. It's rubber, and really easy to poke a wire through. As for the washer fluid reservoir, I am using one out of a 4G63 powered DSM. It sits in the spare tyre well, services both the front and rear windsheild washers. I really like it, and I need all of the space under the hood that I can spare.
