Ok guys I'm needing some help and input. First, I'm wanting to see if anyone knows how I would go about changing my rims from silver to gunmetal w/polished lip? I dont know if I would have to paint them, powdercoat them or what. Second, here is a photochop of what it would probably look like, what do guys think? Personally, I love gunmetal with the polished lip if its on the right car. I dont think it would look bad like this:

I painted my wheels. Head down to walmart or another local store that carrys duplicolor spray paint. Get 4 cans of Gunmetal, 2 cans of clear coat.
-Sand the wheel a little bit to get some of the clearcoat off of them. Then clean them off.
-Mask off the tire, and any part of the wheel that you don't want to paint.
-Spray one coat of gunmetal, covering everything. Basically a light coat. Wait about 15-20mins.
-Spray another coat. Do this one semi heavy, but not enough to drip everywhere. Wait about 15-20mins.
-Do 2 or 3 more coats, waiting 15-20mins in between.
-Clear coat is done the same way. Do about 2-3 coats of clear coat.
-Take off all the tape(or whatever u masked it off with)...be careful not to touch the paint. Let it dry for a day or so.

You're done...oh and make sure to have the wheel off the car when doing this.
I lined up all four wheels next to each other, so you can do them all at once.

This comes out nice. I did my wheels graphite grey..which is a little darker than gunmetal. I get compliments on them everyday. Everyone thinks I got them professionally powdercoated...i just tell them "it's spray paint". They look astonished.
Enough of my blabbering.
Hope that helps.. spray paint is like $3 a can, clear coat about the same, and the tape is pritty inexpensive. Costs about $20 to do, and comes out really well.

Oh, and after 2-3 weeks...wax them with regular car wax. Helps keep them clean. Never spray a wheel cleaner that can damage the clearcoat...just stick w/a degreaser to clean it, or just use car wash.

I can't help ya there..maybe get a dremel and a grinding stone, and smooth it off. I wouldn't know hoe to put metal back on. Probbaly a local welding shop could help ya there.

Here are pictures of my car:

You're car would look real cool all red. All the stickers off and paint the stuff that is not red, red. Drop it and paint the wheels. It would look cool. But either way, the wheels would look good.

I am selling my tsw vx1 knockoffs as soon as my new wheels go on. They are 16" that are painted graphite grey. Come w/Dunlop FM501 z rated tires that are almost new. $350..local only. I will have pictures soon.

Ya, I'm working on that whole "all red" thing lol. I'm getting back to normal little by litte, I'm just replacing the bumpers and sideskirts piece by piece when I get the money. I already have a Banshi front on there-all red lol-I just dont have pics of it yet. I'm wanting to put some Invader sides on it, not sure what back bumper yet.
