what i really want is to have my reverse lights act as my rear bumpers... and my reverse lights will be re routed to a neon white light above my rear licence plate the brakes i want to function normally ... now ... do i snip the wire and run it from the fuse box ? or do i run it from the back lights themselves? its kinda confusing i cant seem to get it to work ? can anyone help me with this ... ?

for the neon you should be able to just cut the wires going to the reverse lights and wire up the neon in place of the reverse lights. the reverse lights are gonna have to be tapped into the wires for the blinkers in the tail lights. one wire from the reverse light goest to ground and the other to the positive wire which activates the blinker in the tailight. make sure you get the right wire b/c there's 3 going to the blinker bulbs (they are dual filament bulbs). tapping into the blinkers will probably cause some issues with the blinker speed. if it bothers you, you'll need to replace the flasher relay with a variable load flasher (essentially a flasher that isn't affected by you altering the number of lights hooked up to it). i forget where the flasher in our car is...
