I would think it might effect the resistance, so it might effect the speed of your blinkers.

it shouldn't be a problem if you tap into the right wires i think... just tap into the 3rd brake light wire. that one doesn't affect the blinkers at all. the other ones are kinda complicated b/c the tail lights are dual filament. i think both filaments light up when you hit the brake. when your headlights are on one filament is lit up and when the blinker/brake comes on the other filament lights up. might be kinda hard to isolate it from the blinkers if you use those lights to tap into. i forget if there was one that was only for the brake.. i think maybe only the outer two bulbs were hooked up to the blinker or something. i forget. emoji

If all you want is a marker when the lights are on then tap off of the outer lights. That is all they are for. The inner two lights are the ones that are for brakes, turn signals and hazard emoji

hmmm...maybe its a little different on a talon or something. the blinker has its own harness and wires that plug right into the back of the bulb socket. then the the other two and the reverse lights are on their own harness. i thought that since the blinker was separate then it wouldnt be a problem.

i want it to work as a brake light, i have a spare socket and wires for the dual filament light, so i was just going to tap into the brake wires already there because all the wires should match right up. i guess i will just try it and see if it works.

lol oh crap sorry i didn't even realize you were a talon... i'm not sure what the wiring's like on a talon but i thought it was almost the same b/c people have done the rear conversion an stuff...

but yea if your blinker's separate then it shouldn't be a problem. is this a dual filament light you're hooking up then? if that's the case then yea just tap into one've the brake lights. there should be 3 wires you'll be tapping into. ground and the two positives for the two filaments in the bulb. that way both filaments should light up when you press the brake and only one should when your headlights are on.
