I just got my CF hood on and ordered a set of Sparco hood pins for it. I was wondering if anyone had a how-to for installing them or any instructions on how to do it. I checked out Vfaq but the faq for it doesnt work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Luke

You need to make a hole a wee bit bigger then the actual hood pins. So you drill the holes starting with the smallest bit you have and work your way up to the size you need. How do i know where to make these holes you ask? Well, find a place to mount the "pins" and get em in there, but make sure they are under the hood. Then put some grease or sumthin on the tops of them and slowly close the hood. The grease on top will mark where the pins hit and you will put the holes there. Make sure you drill the hood from the top, not the bottom. Otherwise the clear coat up top around the hole will be messed up and ugly. Those are the directions i was givin by a few peeps that have installed them, so don't take my words if you feel bad about the info. Have fun and post up some pics when they are on emoji

2 things: Make sure you have a steady hand.
Don't rush it!
I did that to my stock hood on my accent. In short, i had a pack of cigarettes and a big gash up my hood about 8in long after only a hour. that sucked
