I've got zero interior at the moment, but I did the oval-ish "swooshes" in the door panels with black suede. I bought a yard of it for like $20 at the fabric store and it was enough to do both doors. I cut a big block and sprayed the door surface with an aerosol adhesive, I think it was a 3M product, it's the same stuff they use to do things like sub boxes and headliners. I anchored the fabric in the middle of the panel and worked outwards smoothing out the wrinkles as best I could, and when I made the bend around to the back of the panel I made a couple relief cuts in the suede which really helped smooth it out. I think it's a very cool interior fabric, very luxury yet racey, take your time with it and it will look awesome, and yes, it held up way better than the pieces I painted.
