What is the diffrence between stock and non-stock turbos. just wondering because one of my buddies is looking for an eclipse and said that he wanted the GS-T because of the turbo and i told him that he should just get an RS or GS and put one in himself. What do you guys think?

lol you're gonna get flamed for this one buddy... try reading up a bit before posting. the RS/GS eclipses have a completely different engine from the GST/GSX. they sell aftermarket turbo kits for our cars though. most people go with Hahn Racecraft or Star but some people have custom setups. it really depends on if your friend wants to take a RS/GS and buy a turbo kit and do a lot of modding or just buy a GST/GSX and maybe upgrade some of the existing parts.
as far as the difference between stock and non-stock turbos are you asking to compare a stock GST/GSX turbo with a turbo added onto one of our cars (RS/GS) or are you comparing the stock GST/GSX turbo with an aftermarket turbo for the GST/GSX?

i know the engines are diffrent. what i'm wondering is if it is better to get a gsx or gst with that stock turbos or just buy a non turbo car and put one in yourself.

o0o0o0o0o0o0o GST baby, sorry my 420a was a piece of shit. fisrt mod you get befor you get a turbo is a rebuild kit IMO. but dont take my advice i have no knowledge of the 420a, im sure dino or someone will tell you the 420a is better than the 4g63. IMO they both have drawbacks in terms in reliability. but if your gonna go for performance, i would go for a gst/x because the prices are gettin down there close enough that a gs with a kit will probably cost a lil more than a gst
