Does any one have it^^^^? Is it ricey. I think its cool and I saw one button that replaces the cig lighter plug. Since My sig lighter is useless due to a crooked short shifter I thought Id put this there instead. Any opinions, oh and are they easy to instal???

i think they are worthless. first if you have a MT your gonna have to do some modding if you want it to start without pressing in the clutch. also whats the point, you can't drive without you key in the ignition cause your steering wheel won't turn.

well modding the a mt to start without pushing the clutch is easy just cut the two wires going up by the clutch pedal crimp and wala

and you can drive without the key just gotta bypass the lock and tumbler. hell if your cig lighter is useless midus well put one there then hide the cig lighter in behind the console hook up an inverter with a playstation and a tv and your set. i dont know but thats just me talking outta my ass hahaha

peace

Summit sells a nice push button kit. Its not one where u have to have ur key in either u have to flip 2 switches then push the button.

I have a push start button. For mine, you have to turn the key all the way to the on position, then hit the button. I spent about 3 dollars for a button from pepboys to do it. Its just two wires.

As an added bonus, it acts as anti theft because you still have to have the key to start it and also know where the button is to start it.

your clutch pedal should have some kinda switch with two wires on it all it is is just a lil toggle switch type thing. if you dont have it i woulndt worry its only a safety feature i guess

there's been write up on the 2GNT home page for over a year now with pics and everything for that install. You could just go buy whatever button you like at RadioShack or get one of those momentary toggle switches and flick it to start. Whatever floats your boat! Have fun. emoji

So what would you need to do if you bought a switch at pep boys? And how do you mod the clutch, so you dont have to push it in to start your car? I would like a push button start on my car.

Modding the clutch switch to work is easy. Just unplug it. The 5 speed swappers will probably not have this setup in the first place, unless the park/neutral safety ground switch is connected to the clutch switch, which I don't think many people have the patience to do.
