#48199, "Possible to relocate/add additional cig lighter plugs?"

Well because of the shifter I have my cig lighter adapter is totally useless. Totally useless. What do I have to buy to leave a couple plugs dangling behind the front of the center console, down by where the the pedals for the driver side and another in the same place by on the pass side so I can plug in my fuckin phone and my girl can too. Can i splice two additional lighters into existing wires or will that dispurse he electricity weirdly or what. Any help, TIA -WILL

you should be fine running a couple in parallel with the existing one. the current shouldn't really be a problem. also, you might wanna tap into a different source b/c i think the cig. lighter only has power when they key's in. i think that's how it was. i forget though. but anyways you might wanna tap into a constant +12v source so whatever you plug in still has power when the car's off. oh an idk where to puy the plugs themselves but they should be too hard to find... shouldn't cost very much either.

i got one of the 1 to 4 plug adapters. i plugged it in and ran the wire into the console and out on the bottom on the passanger side. then i stuck the plug between the console side panel and the passanger seat.
