check the 2 "tabs" that are inside of the sig lighter assembly. That could be your problem. Remember, the center of the cig lighter is + and the sides are -, so check to see if your getting a good connection to those 2 points.

im sure you can find a replacement in the same size somewhere. Just pry at the 2 tabs on the sides with a small flathead until you get a good contact with your plug

where do you wanna put the neon and when do you want it to go on? personally i just hardwire all my electrical stuff an get rid of the little cig. plugs. that way your cig. lighter's still free. it's not that hard to hardwire it. you just cut off the plug at the end and connenct one wire to +12v and the other to ground. looks a lot cleaner if you run the wires right too.

take off ur center console by takin all the screws out and stuff all around the center console..then disconnect the two tabs with teh cig lighter and and then u can clean the actual housing of the lighter all u want and reconnect the two tabs, if that doesnt work then u might have some kind of short, or a messed up fuse if nothing is working: is the light around the lighter working?

If you used a screwdriver to pry on them you probably blew the fuse. (you said your cig. lighter wont get hot now) I did the same thing in my old 1G. I pryed on the tabs and crossed the two when i stuck the screwdriver in it. Check your fuse and clean it out with a piece of rolled up sandpaper, thats what i used. Or pry on the tabs with the fuse out
