Last summer, I removed the thin plastic thing in the middle of my smiley-face bumper and spraypainted the inside of the grill/radiator area black. The dumbshits that painted my front bumper when I hit a deer painted it silver, and I wanted it black again. Now, a year later, It's cracking, chipping, and peeling where I painted. This, of course, was because I didn't prep it or anything, I just sprayed because I didn't really care that much then. Now, I want to do it over. How should I go about doing this? I'm not much of a painter. Should I sand it down, prep it with some sort of special paint, and then paint it black?

when i painted the ribbed piece on my bumper, i used some bumper coating from wal-mart. didnt need any prepping, i just covered everything up and sprayed. that shit stays too, been there for a year with no chips/cracks
