ok, i'm not talking about how to get it out of the dash cause that won't be too hard for me. I just need to know what I need to do to extend all the cables. Like what is involved. What do I use to extend the cables or whatever and anything else that needs to be done

where do you plan on moving them to?

let me tell you sraight up...its going to be a bitch and a half to do. the wiring isnt a problem, i think theres about 10 wires to extend. the major problem is the cables. i cant really see and easy way if "extending" them, so youll probably have to replace them with longer ones. i guess you could possibly cut them, add an extender in the middle, and solder it all together. that might hold up, but its hard to say.

also, just getting the controls out of the dash is a pain. its probably a lot easier w/ the entire dash assemly off though. when i took mine out, i just got frustrated with it and took a jig saw straight down the middle. emoji let us know how it goes, ive thought about doing this in the past and decided against it.

i figured I'd just pull the dash to do it anyways. I can do that in like an hour. I'm probably going to put them in the glove box. Basically I just needed to do with the cables to get them there or if they are long enough to move it over. the wires I have no problem extending. thanks

ya, i hear ya. the cables are definatly not long enough to extend to the glove box though. you mihgt have enough room to move them down to where the radio is, but thats about as much slack as they have.

also, i have a spare set of those cables laying around. if you want them to experiment on, i can send them to you no charge. youll have to wait about a week though because im driving 600 miles to visit my parents on monday night/tuesday morning.

send me an emial at vinsonjosh@hotmail.com if youre interested. emoji
