yay so i finally got around to doing my defroster button last nite. it was pretty straight forward. just fyi varad LED's are really convenient for doing the defroster button. since the resistor's are already wired up on that mini circuit board, it makes wiring really easy. plus if you take off the casing, that board and the led fit perfectly inside the tube housing that goes over the back of the light. the only part that took a little while was sanding down the LED's. i had to sand the side a bit so they'd fit in through the holes nicely. then i had to sand the tops a bit to get the light to distribute better. if you leave the one for the 'on' light as it is, it's frickin bright. like it'll hurt your eyes when you turn on your defroster b/c it's angled toward your face. it was actually casting a circle of blue light on my seat an stuff from the tiny little opening on the button. so yea, sand it flat and so that it's not perfectly clear. for the one that lights the main defroster symbol i had to kinda angle the surface of the light so it would distribute evenly. the position of the bulb isn't exactly centered behind the button so it'll make the left corner really bright if you don't do this. looks good now though. emoji hehe sorrry i don't got pics emoji

Cool.. I just did that button yesterday emoji All I have left now is the on and off lights on the cruise control, but I need to find a place that sells 3mm LEDs.

I did one for the A/C Button.. The pics are crap so I might take new ones now that I have a digital camera. Also for cruise control it's pretty easy, but I still need to change the on/off lights which are like really small LEDs. So once I buy some 3mm LEDS I'll do a writeup for that also.
