got a quick question. im bondoing and sanding down my side skirts. on the 95-96 skirts, theres a embedded line. i put bondo down in there and sanded over it to make it smooth. should i put fiberglass over it to? to make sure the bondo doesnt start do come out due to weather and what not? also there was a little crack i bondo'd over, fiberglass over it too?

if you are doing your factory skirts I dont think that fiberglassing over it will help it from coming out. The factory parts are plastic urethane shit. I dont think the filler and fiber glass will stick to them very well cause the skirts are so flexible. I could be wrong though. just my 2 cents.

you would want to just use bondo on something like stock urethane skirts

well i went ahead and put fiberglass over the bondo. works great, except its a bia to sand that shit down. i put to much on the one skirt.... lol

well I'm not bodoing, but I'm just using the fiberglass resin to fix that crack in my fiberglass bumper that got hacked in half on the bottom. Be forwarned "fiberglass resin hardens in 10 minutes if you don't continue stirring". I wasted 12 bucks because I'd set it and forget it. This fiberglassing is fun. I'm thinking of making an exact replica of my buddy club bumper and selling it for a hundred.

it also depends on how much hardener you add. i have had some batches that take 45mins. to harden and some that take 5.

Anyone now why the Resin gets so hot once it starts hardening?

It gets hot because it's an endothermic reaction.

hmm the side skirt kinda messed up.
i been sanding down for like an hour straight, i had to much excess all ova the place. well i guess me doing it by hand and making it go by any better tho either
