#45760, "wheel painting w/ auto paint"

I'm planning on a bronze color (suggestions from any bronze car) to go with my wildberry pearlcoat paint and I was wondering if anybody who has used auto paint, if they have used single stage or a base coat/clear coat? Which do you think will hold up best?

Shit is all apart. Typical...

I don't know anything about the paint but I think that's gonna look freaking awesome.

Anybody? They don't make wheel paint in bronze, so I've been on the lookout for bronze cars (paint is easier to order if you have a code). I'm sure somebody has had their wheels painted w/ a laquer paint?

Shit is all apart. Typical...

Go to walmart, or any other place that sells duplicolor. I did my vx1's in graphite grey. Duplicolor is the best spray paint to use. They have a bunch of different colors. Sand the wheel, 3-4 coats of paint, 3-4 coats of clearcoat...wax after 2-3 weeks. If i get pics i'll post them. There are a whole bunch of posts on wheel painting on the board, use the search.

Duplicolor is made by sherwin-williams (I get discounts since I'm committed intern) and they will cut me a SWEET deal on auto paint and I can be super choosy about color and I have a HVLP gun to shoot the paint. I already have some clear laying around from other stuff I've shot, so it's one less thing that I have to buy.
