you need to take to door cover thing off. then, take off the black metal/plastic peice that goes around the top parallel to your window. then, you should start seeing the bolts that holds the mirrors. there should be about 3,4 bolts. its easy, just open it up and look at it. you'll know!

just did mine a couple weeks ago.. i have a 99 but if you open the door and look down where the mirror is, you will see a tiny "cap" with a middle piece you push in . this will release that black cover and then just pop the cover where the mirror joystick si.. it Will pop out. from there, you will see 3 bolts.

again i have a 99 so don't know if thee is much difference...

Kindof off topic, but I just did mine a week or so ago on a 96 w/ power mirrors. Not sure I like the M3 mirrors I got tho... for one thing, I had to modify the plastic mounting bracket (goes between the mirror and the outside of the door) so that it would even bolt on. The visibility is much worse on these mirrors (much smaller width than stock) and the mirrors are angled up in the air instead of at a right angle like they are supposed to be. They don't look that bad... but still.. I wasn't every impressed with the quality (I guess at $70 on ebay I can't complain). I'm just wondering if you are having similar probs.

Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

i had to modify mine too and i couldnt hook one of the bolts up. i think they give better visibity. the blue tint is hard to see through when you have tinted windows though. but they look cool as hell lit up, i love mine.
