Recently I've done the 97-99 front end conversion to my '96. I did notice that the impact bumper inside the bumper cover no longer fits with the 97-99 bumper cover on. Is there any difference in how these bolt up from 95-96 models to 97-99 models? Or am I just putting it back together incorrectly? Ive searched and searched, but found nothing. What about with the small lip in the opening of the 97-99 bumper cover removed.. do most of you leave your impact bumper off or somehow manage to keep it on? TIA

I didn't have to take out the impact bumper. All I did was trim the white foam a little bit at the bottom and the bumper cover fit right on without a problem.
