That you can't see anything with them on? I just finished a 200 mile drive and am ready to yank them out -- why is it that youth can't see anything. Should I adjust the headlights or something??

2003 VW GTI 1.8t.. I used to have a 95 Eclipse but well...water sucks.

try re-adjusting them.. but blue headlights.. like the 'fake HID's' and what not, really suck.. especially if it's wet out.. has to do with the color.. blue is the color hardest for the eye to see or something.. while yellow (like the slight yellow tint of normal halogens) is much easier for eyes to see.. and reflects much better.

i'm glad I went back to my stock halogens, which light up everything way better.. and they are much lower wattage.. hehe.

I couldn't see jack with the stock bulbs, and the other night I couldn't see jack with the Sylvania Silverstars I have now when it was raining. I pretty much just don't drive my car when it rains (bald tires AND bad headlights!)

I saw a car the other night with some yellow headlights. I think it was a celica. I few weeks ago I saw someone with some bright ass amber or orange looking head lights. Where do they get these. Those bitches were bright!

my lights are gol they are also a lens. but i know you can order them from online or from some shops. i'm sure nopi would have them, in fact, i know they do.

i hear all of ya about the stock head lights sucking. i fixed the problem by getting some projector fog lamps and hard wired them in to turn on with my head lights and stay on for hi and lo beams. for a while i refused to drive my car in the dark, i had my moms night blindness (not literally blind, just trouble seeing) and our dim headlights didnt help. i got my fogs from jcwhitney, the bulbs are available at any wal mart and are about $5 and let me tell you, those damn things are bright! they are rated as clear, but they are very hot yellow, nearly white. i can see 100x better now. i swear they outdo my stock lights. i once drove home with just my fogs on by accident and didnt even noticed the difference. thats my suggestion, plus it looks cool at night. and since my RS didnt come with fogs, i added some style in the process . here are the ones i got....worth every penny IMO, and some people might want big names like Hella, im happy with mine and they do great!

i have an rs also and i have some fog lights added.. what/how did you mount the fogs on the car? did you have to take the bumper off? i need to secure my fog lights better than they are at this point.

naw, i just mounted them inside the little (cups) that we get instead of fogs, bolted that back to the bumper and boom....there was light

Well, it can all depend on what kind you got. Cheap 10$ ebays wont do jack squat, but I know that the Toucan Fusion ones are very good. BUT, the thing you have to remember is that with higher wattage bulbs, the hotter the bulb and therefore, the hotter the wires to the bulb get. You can melt the plastic part of the bulb and ruin the socket, which I did already! You definately have to remove the four screw on caps that protect the bulbs, to keep air circulated. Ironically, I have some off brand "blue bulbs" and its not that much different than stock other than you do see everything in more detail. My bulb sockets are FUBAR and its luck that keeps them lit up.

In all honesty, Sylvania's Xtravision is the best bulb Ive used.

Interms of night time driving, especially in rain/fog/snow conditions, you're better off with non-HID look bulbs. The XtraVision claims to be as bright as the Silverstars, but without the tint. Blue light scatters easier than yellow or red light, hence why fog lights are yellow.
