Say hello to AEM V2 and Greddy 4-1 header. I managed to not touch the header this time, so its not stained.

I like them both. The v2 was a huge improvement over the Ebay intake I had before. The header changes things for sure, I haven't had a lot of time to play around and see what exactly it does for me. I do see low end improvements, contrary to the popular belief of 4-1 headers.

Oh and my car sounds mean as hell emoji Ive already had a few comments that my car does not sound like a 4 banger.

ooh ohh what do your balls have in store for me?

lol j.p, but its lookin good man, do you think the headers will not change color now since you didnt touch them? Well what about the V2? I was talkin to Fusion and he said when he was checking it out it was astucally a second smaller pipe inside, yours too?

The header has already changed color, it went from chrome to that goldish bronze color. I did not inspect the intake that much, but I have seen all the write-ups on it. The smaller pipe extends into the bigger a little bit. The room in between the smaller and the bigger is the resonance chamber that is suppose to accelerate the air movement.

Whats weird, is there was not an option for a bypass valve. I thought AEM lived and died by those things?

why do people trip over the inner diameter of the v2 being smaller!?! To have a true helmholtz resonating effect you need an exact diameter/length/volume to match the engine. Don't worry about it - it's SUPPOSED to be like that.

that's also why you'll never see a v2 come out with a bypass, and you should NEVER cut one up like the v1's to put one in there! that would completely disrupt the positive and negative pressure waves which are the fundamental properties that make this resonator work.

I really like the gold sheen to that header. wish I could hear what the difference is like. how much is the v2?

I ain't trippin over it. I did my homeowrk so I knew exactly what is up. I got my V2 for 245 shipped, which was one of the better deals I saw online. I actually found a place cheaper by ten bucks, but I hadn't heard of them before so I stayed away.

But yeah, the header looks SWEET IMO. I am really happy with the way it looks.
