i have to go to work but want to make my electric autometer gauges work. Should i go to ignition wire for power or should i do cig. lighter. Which wire do i tap into for each?

well you should use a relay. I used one when i had four gauges. but now i only have two and i'm splicing off of the cigarrete lighter power. So its up to you but the safest way is to do a relay.
