i try to hide the scratches on my car with wax and polish...but it's not like you can wax and polish your car every week. wish i could help ya more. *i use wax and polish from griots garage, it works well but you start seeing stuff again after a week or so.

Yes, there is a black wax sold at stores for about $7. It's called Turtle Wax Color Cure and it does a VERY good job at covering up deep scratches. The down side is that the wax will only cover it up and evaporate in about a month or two depending on the weather. I've used it to cover up some scratches on mine and that's been my experience.
Don't even consider using a white wax/polish to buff out deep scratches... they will only fill up the scratch and it will look worse.

no wax is gonna be permanent. I use meguiar's scratch-x, then I use show car glaze polish, then wax. then do it all over if it needs it. If that doesn't help, you need paint.

haha no joke...well while were at it turtle wax makes a stick now...and a color specefic wax (sorta) that can now cover up scratches and such. works pretty good just takes a while to learn how to use the stuff correctly and acheive the look you want

Well since the paint in all my pictures was brand new, I didn't have any scratches or swirl marks in the clear after it was wetsanded and buffed with Presta Strata Ultra Cutting Creme. After that we used Presta Aurora Hand Glaze. That was what put the original shine on the car.

All I needed to worry about was maintaining it and not getting scratches or swirls in the clear. On my car I would only use some of the best products from my pretty large collection of products (pretty large because I own a detailing business). For maximum shine and gloss, i.e the wet look I used one of my favorite hand glazes, 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. I actually prefer that over Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze however I still have room for that in my detail list for the day before a show. This was all I could do until the paint completely cured, but once it did I was able to utilize sealants and waxes for protection.

One of my favorite sealants which I applied every few weeks to the car was from Platinum products, specifically their "UPP" or Ultimate Paint Protection. A great thing about this product is ease of use, and the fact that it can be layered and you can put a coat of wax on top of it and it really makes your car stand tall. In this situation I would use P21S wax, or it's identical counterpart S100.

From the Meg's line I like to use #26, Hi-Tech Yellow Wax on my other vehicles along with the show car glaze. For quick touch up's to the finish I always use Meg's Final Inspection. I always carry a bottle of that in the hatch just in case. My car will never be seen on the street dirty.

I also always use a very soft microfiber towel to remove wax to cut down on swirl marks in the clear from coarser towels. Not all towels are created equal.

You can browse and purchase some great detailing products from http://www.premiumautocare.com
