I bought some factory sideskirts for my RS. I need an estimate from those who have done this on paint and install. TIA.

~$150 for paint/clearcoat stuff...
~$15 for new clips to hang side skirts...
~$5 drill bit for drilling holes into your car... emoji
Scraping your side skirts the day you got it on... priceless...

Is it hard to do yourself? Would you recommend it as something to do for a person who has no experience in body work? Also would it be cheaper to have them installed if i had other work done at the same time? TIA

It was actually my first body work. I've never painted, nor drilled holes into my car. It's not perfect, but I like it. If you got the equipment, I say go for it!!! Yeah, it comes out cheaper if you get a lot of stuff painted at once, rather than getting it painted peice by peice.
here are some pics I took after I installed them...
what do you think?

Paint: $250
Install: did it myself

I didnt use the clips, i didnt want to drill into the side of my car, but i also sold the door caps and just put the skirts on. I put the Front part of the skirt on first, bolted it on(inside the wheel well), then lined it up and drilled into the bottom of it(theres a hole there for it on the skirt) Then for the long part of the skirt, i just pushed it into the front part(the long part necks down into the front part) I put this really strong double sided tape on the skirt, and pressed against the side of the car. Then i made sure everything was lined up, and drilled into the holes on the bottom of the skirt.....does that make sense?? Hope that helps

Where did you drill the hole??? into the fender or the body? and what kind of double sided tape did you use and how has it held up? how long have the skirts been on your car with just the tape? Thanks a lot for the info.
