#43351, "Silver Star HID look alikes, anyone try these?"

I heard that they are just as bright as HID's, last pretty long, and are pretty new to the market. Supposedly there's a warranty on them to last a certain amount of time. They're about 40 bucks a pop. I heard some cars are having trouble with them, melting wires and such because they use alot of electricity, but the company so far has covered all the repairs under their warranty plans.

Just wondering if anyone else has given these a try yet. If not, i'll be the first, just have to figure out if we need to rewire anything or how it works.

I can tell you I have yet to see a bulb equal what HID can. I have seen and used Piaa Super Whites, Silverstar Cool Blue, etc. I have the 8k HID and I can say nothing comes close. I have yet to see it. In some cases they are whiter but that's about it. Even those colored bulbs that alot of Honda's use. emoji

I have them, they increased night visibility considerably. I have yet to hear about them causing any problems, they are actually a lower wattage bulb then most aftermarkets. Ive had mine for a few months now.

Hey Faster, what part number/type did you get?

Anyone have suggestions on foglights so that all the lights have the same color? emoji

Its the 9006ST for the silverstars. You can get these bulbs for the high beams and the fog lights too, but im not about to spend 120 bucks on some light bulbs.
