When getting my rear, should i jus go ahead and buy my friends eclipse tails off him? How easy does anyone or everyone think it will be to keep the talon tails. I will do almost anything possible to keep the talon tails. I jus sorta need to know if it is a cut and throw in job, or a huge pain in teh ass. TIA NWN

is it a stock rear? good luck if it is. if its fiberglass im sure it wouldnt be that hard for someone that is experienced to do.

i could do it, it requires cutting out the tailights into the eclipse rear. Then making a lip to go back under the tails and bolt to the chassis. A very long tedious job, but it can be done

It will be an aftermarket rear, prolly the buddy club 2. From what i can visualize, the Talon tails are bigger then the eclipse ones, so, in theory, one would jus have to cut the bumper to get them to fit. Jus wondering if someone has done it before, or knows someone who has. I am jus hoping its easier then y'all are saying since it is more modifying the bumper then doing an actual tail light conversion. I'll prolly go get it checked out soon.

you have to shave it down some and then round it off into the lights again, you know what i mean? and the center sits lower than the two outer pieces so there would have to be some more shaping involved there. i talked to a guy on dsmtalk who did it with a combat rear and he said the body shop charged him about $250. let me know if you do it because i have a blitz rear thats just sitting here. i want to mold it to my talon tails too, but i have better things to spend my money on right now.
