Well, it's official, the airbag from the vinyl wheel is most definately interchangable with the leather wrapped wheel. I just did this a couple of mornings ago. Took me about 10 minutes with a steering wheel pull that I borrowed from Pep Boys. I unplugged the battery, went in to Pep Boys (gave the airbag cap time to discharge- don't want it blowing up in my lap, ya know). There are 4 little bolts in the back (10MM) that come out easily. The Airbag will now come off of the wheel. On the back, there is a connector that is clipped into the center of the airbag unit. Unplug that. Now, the airbag won't blow up unexpectedly. There is a wire for the horn buttons that will unplug easily. Now, the airbag is free. Put that down before you hurt yourself. The nut in the middle of the steering wheel is 17MM (as opposed to the nut behind the steering wheel, which may vary in size). once that is out, use the steering wheel puller. There is a threaded hole on each side of the center nut. Put one of the steering wheel puller bolts through the puller and into each hole. The center bolt of the puller should be in line with the center bolt of the wheel. Just tighten the bolt in the puller, and the wheel pops off. Very easy. The new wheel just went on easily, put the bolt in, plug in the horn and airbag (make sure that it is all the way plugged in). Put the airbag on the wheel, and put the 4 bolts back in behind the wheel. Maybe I wrote a little too much on it, but when I get to typing, I just don't know when to stop. By the way, the wheel feels so much better then the vinyl one, as it isn't so slippery. Not as good of a feel as a nice aftermarket racing wheel, but hey, the airbag is a good thing to have. G'Luck all! -=B-=
Dude, Boeing called. They want their wing back.
