#41895, "HELP...Can't get my R1 Racing seats to fit."

I just got R1 racing seats and I can't seem to get them to fit. The holes from the original seats and sliders don't line up with the new ones. Even if I were to put the original sliders on the new seats it still won't line up. Can someone help me please.

can you drill new holes in the sliders? or possibly remount the sliders on the seat?

BTW there is some one selling R-1 seats in the 4sale section and he says he knows how to install them

I've been having problems with this too. They sould have come with universal sliders. The holes in my sliders didn't completely line up with the holes in the seats so I just need to drill a little. Not that bad. As for getting the seats in the car, your gonna need brackets. I bought mine from www.speedpeople.com

Call them and ask for Chris. He is the owner and he can send you some custom brackets for your car. Mine are supposed to ship out friday.

Talk to Bobby about welding your sliders to your stock brackets. That's what i'm going to do when I get mine.

Hey Tim, what do you think of the quality of these seats? Do you think they will hold up well in a collision?

I dont know! I wonder that every time i drive fast... they look and feel like they would, but the seats arent a major fault point in a colision anyway. I have a 3-point belt that bolts to the car and seat mount that i made but, not the seat. so as long as the belt holds good, i should be alright.
As far as the seat itself, i think its pretty good quality for the money. i have never really seen anything else comparable upclose, but im happy with the money spent. AS LONG AS YOU CAN MAKE A MOUNTING BRACKET, you'll like them also.

I dont care what this ira guy selling them says, they will not mount to your car as they come (with universal sliders ONLY). I would challenge him to show us how to do it (SAFELY) since he says it can be done!

anyway.... my $.02
also, my challenge to iraturbo, who is selling them, is below!
