#41536, "should i shave my rear wiper?"

i'm filling all of my stock spoiler holes and putting on a WW 3piece and i'm also shaving the rear squirter. My friend wants me to shave the rear wiper also but i don't know if i want to because it can be a pain to see out of. SO tell me your opinions and what you think.

thanks

i hear alot of people that did this regret it. i kidna wished mine came with one...but the car does look alot cleaner without it. id say if it wasnt a daily driver....then do it....but if your gonna be driving around alot in it...id say keep the wiper for a lil longer

I would...in fact I did already. I never used it in the first place. It makes the car look so clean. I haven't had any visibility problems with it being gone.

If i'm sitting in traffic in the rain with the rear wiper off I can't see a damn thing.

I wouldn't get rid of it, but I do agree that the car looks a lot cleaner.

water just rolls right off that rear window, especially at speed. what are those things even on our cars for? I bought my car w/o all that extra stuff b/c I think it looks so much cleaner.

Of course you should shave your rear wiper, it is a Eclipse not a Chevy Astro. My car didnt even come with one and I've never had a problem. I Rain-X my back window every time I wash it so everything rolls right off. Rain-X is GOD.

Yeah, do it. I can't comment on the cleanliness of it since my hatch is still primered waiting for my whole paintjob, lol.

It would prob be cheaper to have some one pay you to trade for a Rs hatch

i think our cars look sexy as hell w/o the wiper. our cars just have a really nice ass. mine's an RS so it came w/o it. saves me the trouble of getting it off later. honestly i've never had that big a problem seeing out the back. it'll only collect there if it's raining hard and you're not moving very fast. either that or if it rained before you started driving. other than that i almost never had a problem. i can't wait til i put in a power antenna. that'll make it even nicer... should only cost like $40 too. emoji

I put in a power antenna....watch out for your quarter panel. Don't get too agressive with the old antenna. If it won't come out melt the plastic base and remove it with pliers....don't try to unbolt it until it (which it will) slips and turns. If it does it will warp your quarter panel.
