#41349, "keyhole light ring"

I am trying to tap an led into the wires that light up the
ring around the ignition key hole. Problem is, both wires
going to factory bulb are the same color, (yellow w/ red
stripe). Please tell me which is which or do I need to tap
somewhere else. Thanks

Its the ring of light that goes around the ignition. I'm
trying to make it light up blue with an led. I just want it
to light up when my parking lights and/or headlights are on.
This is similar to the HVAC mod, I just can't figure out what
to tap into because both wires coming from the factory bulb
are the same color.

The bulb I am trying to wire in is the blue 5mm led from
radioshack.... 3.7volt 20mA 2600mcd. Same light used the the
HVAC conversion. If anyone knows somewhere else to get a
brighter led please let me know. Thanks

lighting up the ring w/ an LED isn't gonna work too well. i
did the cig. lighter and the plastic ring itself isn't exactly
clear so just changing the bulb doesn't work too well... you'd
hafta actually replace the ring w/ a clear one from
somewhere...

A seen a HVAC kit on eBay about four months ago that came with
new rings for the lighter and ignition in blue or green. I
will try looking for it again but I probably wont find
anything.
