i have done a search and havnt found any good answer to my ques.. I sanded the orange of of my needles and when i put the cluster back in.. the needles dont glow anymore, i have tried blue marker which didnt do anything..someone suggested coloring the back of the needles with white nail polish, and that hasnt worked either. can anyone tell me what i can use, so my needles lite up again??

u would be a perfect candidate for the glowing needles now. Marker doesn't even really make the glowing needles that bright. You might be able to salvage ur needles with some lighter colored acrlyic paint, but since white nailpolish didn't work im thinking that won't either. u might have to make ur way to junkyard to rip some old needles off an eclipse there, or get the glow needles kit.

have you changed the bulb behind the needle? if you want them to glow a certain color you gotta make that bulb that color

yea, the stock lights arent really bright enough to handle a color change.. i tried doing that too, but they just arent bright enough.. so i got the needle kit.

i have done this on my car and they won't glow unless you use a flourescent paint on the back of the needles. apply the flourescent paint on the back of the needles and they'll glow. you'll also have to replace the bulbs with a brighter bulb cause they aren't very bright. i rewired the lights with LEDs and now it work perfect. hope that helps.

my gauge lightes never worked so i got indi-glo gauges... i used a razor to sanded the needles and used a green flursant paint i got from wal-mart in the craft center for the speedo and tach, and had a fluresent blue for the rest of the needles... it lights up verry nicely. but i'm thinking about adding leds to the needles to make them light up even more, green for the green and blue for the blue

ya know i never thought bout the floresant paint..that would probly work best.. also if i wanna rewire the bulbs to brighter bulbs..what did u guys use..

1. size of led
2. do u need resisters and if so what watage?

also i had pulled off my needles when i sanded them and forgot to mark were they were so i had to pace someone to set the needles where they should be.. (which sucked to say the least).. so if i wanna do it right this time.. how do i go bout marking the needles so i ensure that they will be in the correct spot when i restart the car again??

just put the white part of the dash in then fill up ur car with car, turn it on and wait couple min...

fuel gauge=by this time the fuel gauge should be at full, just put it on full

temp needle=when ur car is fully warmed up place this needle at the 9 oclock position

speedo=i have ezpass here and it was easy to set up my correct speed... but just get a friend to drive along side u and then set this one with trial and error

tach=u can try to put this on when ur car is idling watever ur car idled b4, mines like 700-800rpmish

i found that on a nissan site and figured it'd work for any car. the guy was pretty cool about it too when i asked. the LEDs and flourescent paint will make a difference trust me.
