I hate fiberglass. Its so freakin weak. Well, the DSM curse finally hit me. When you're about to do something ( I was gonna buy fog lights already, also got some touch up paint), my new front freakin cracks. I dunno, I was just takin a regular ramp from the Vons nearby, takin it at an angle. Then I hear me scraping underneath. I'm like, nah, it'll turn out ok. But then, I hear a really sick sound, like a thud. I'm like, oh shit oh shit. When I got home, yup, there it was, a really ugly nasty crack. The paint was chipped in a number of places. Even the mount where the nut and bolt holds the bumper to the body gave way. Man, that must have been a really bad ramp!!! I have no idea how it became like this. Arrrrrgh, I'm so pissed off. I knew I should have just used my mom's car. I was kinda sleepy and she told me to buy some stuff from the grocery. O well, back to the stock bumper then. Just had to vent.

Oh yeah, any idea how much it would cost to fix this? Marcus already quoted me like 300 plus to have it fixed and repainted. Any other ideas? Anyone have hookups in SoCal? Thanks for the info.

Can you do fiberglass work?

Is it a crack like a piece of paper? Sort of like a tear? You could bondo it back to normal and smooth out the bondo, of course youd need to repainted and the bondo will take up more space than just the crack since you have to smooth it out over a larger area if you know what I mean, so youll need more than just a paint touch up.

Thats why I love my urethance stock bumper. I hit the driveway 4 tiems a day and speed bumps and a few nights ago a rabbit that was hard enough to knock both bumper lens off, but the urethane held up.

I got banned for being a constant tard.

Hey Mikey, that sucks, but now that I think about it, it might be as cheap as 200 to fix the fiberglass and repaint the bumper. I would estimate probably most likely around 250 to do that. Depends on where you go of course and what paint they use...

Joe-> I'm the last person to do anything to his car. Hehehe, fiberglass work? I dun tink so... emoji

Marcus-> 200-250? Hmmmm, how long do u think it'll take? Like if I bring it in Monday? O wait, nevermind, no rush. But what if I just have it repaired? How long and how much? Cuz my buddy told me there was this spray paint that neatly matched the stock kalapana black. I just might go that cheap route instead. Prolly if I enter a car show, that's when I'll have it fixed and repainted really good, cuz I know I'll just scrape it again. Oh yeah, do u know of any small car shows that are coming up? I just want to enter my car at least once in its life so I could get some hot chick to pose beside it. emoji Aight, thanks for the info.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. I was searching the interior/exterior and there was this post by niclipse where he mentioned something about a rhinobumper (sp?) to protect ur bumper from cracking. Anyone else know about this?
