#40306, "What Door Popper kit should i use ??"

ok, I have a 97 eclipse and I was lookin at this kit here, http://www.slickcar.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=541 my friend has a 95 talon and said that that one would work. Well i called a local body shop and they told me that the 35lb solenoid kit would be too big, and he would have trouble installing it into my car, cause when my window would go down it would hit the solenoid. So, they told me they could get a popper kit with an Prestiege alarm and install it for 300.00, but then to fill and primer the door it is 75 a side or 150.00 for both doors, so total to get this done is 450.00. and thats not including paint, which i am not worried about cause i still have to get my kit put on and then my whole car repainted, i just wanted to get my handles done now. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks a lot!

the only thing i can say, is shaved handles look tite, and as far as getting the alarm and popper combo, i assume the door popper button will be on the same button as the alarm. is the alarm also a keyless entry? this could cut down on all the little remotes for your car.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

Do not go with something under a 35 pound popper it will over work it and eventualy fry it. The body shop is probably just trying to sell products they make the most $$$ on. I am a big fan of the www.autoloc.com kits. If possible you should call a few diffrent body shops to see what others charge and what kind of kit they use.

I got a door popper kit because I broke my handle. And then I shaved my door handles, too. I used an www.autoloc.com/shaved.html kit... I can vouch for the quality of their 35lb solenoid kit, but as far as ease of installation... plan on spending at least two hours on each side. The instructions are in Engrish emoji

Hi. Can you vouch for autoloc? Service and shipping time?

Also, Im looking into getting the button one. Will mount the button where the door handle was. Figure its ok since it wont open with the door actually locked right? If thats not safe, Ill hide the button....

but yeah, someone tell me about their experiance?

that local body shop told me that the 35lb solenoid kit would be too big, and he would have trouble installing it into my car, cause when my window would go down it would hit the solenoid. So, they told me they could get a popper kit with an Prestiege alarm and install it for 300.00, but then to fill and primer the door it is 75 a side or 150.00 for both doors, so total to get this done is 450.00.

So does anyone know if this is a good deal or not? When i think about it, it kinda is, cause that would mean the popper kit is 150 and the alarm would be 150 installed! but as far as the fill and primer goes.. i dont know about 75 a door for a total of 150 for that. SO GRAND TOTAL TO HAVE THAT ALL DONE IS 450.00 but really only 300 if anyone knows if it really is going to take 150.00 worth to fill and primer the whole doors. Again, i am not worried about the painting issue, cause when my kit gets put on i will then get the car repainted. Thanks,
