mine broke at the start of the winter and god damn was i ever pissed. and satan wanted 65 bucks for a new one, anyways the install is more agravating than difficult, it took me about 40 min. you just take the clip off the window crank pull that off, take screw out of side pocket thing, take screw out from behind handle on inside, pull plastic behind handle off. pop loose all the retaining screws faceting the panel to the door frame, admire the ugly clear plastic insulation which is caulked on w/sticky black shit. Peal off and get ready for hell. Take clip off of top of locking mechanism on inside and pull that out of the way. Take the screws, i believe there are 2, one's really hard to get but take those out, it's obvous which ones they are. once they are out pull the metal hooks out of the white plastic clip and pull old broken shitty thing out. Take new one and place in the slot and take the metal hanger rod thing w/the 45 degree angle at the end and put that in the white hole and work the handle in, That is what releases the lock so be sure to do it right. Then put locking mechanism back in w/retaining metal bracket, screw 2 screws back in, seal it up and your good to go...now think twice before you rip that thing off again because once ur done w/this one you'll never open that door hard again.
