I just wanted your opinions on painting a car (namely a 1995 Eclipse) in Flat paint. I'm thinking Flat black.... NOT PRIMER!!!!! I think it'd look allright. Hmm.... I wouldn't do it, just wanted to know what you guys thought. TIA

There is a person here in Denver that did that. They have an eclipse they put a blitz front on, a park bench wing, and chrom 17" bling bling rims and then painted it a flat black. Seriously it looks terrible. It looks unfinished or primered but I have seen it for several months so I think thats how they want it... bad... $.02 -Chris b.

the green car in scc looked good but black i dunno bout
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

I saw that too. I thought it was anti-bling, like me. Even though the finish on my car still looks good, the thought crosses my mind from time to time. A solid, flat black car just says "don't EVEN fuck with me." It's dark and ominous. Oh, look who it is! It's SCCs Project Silvia! What do they say about it? "Project Silvia is flat black. Deal with it. Learn to appreciate it. Flat black says serious. It says Mad Max. It says 'you can take your shiny little show car and stuff it up my 3-inch titanium exhaust.'" (wonder if they were talking to 9D9?) haha - no offense ma

I kinda like that.... Looks kinda no nonsense, not rice looking at all... Just think that a hella nice paint job would be about 2 grand AT least! but for that 2 grand you could easily buy a full stand alone or turbo kit or something and woop on all the blinged out cars... Hmm.... just a thought....
