i painted mine too and then after a while didn't like it so i tried glueing down some vynal over it but didn't get it to work to good on the curvier peices and had to take it off but the glue made the paint come right off. i think you can use this "auto stripper" stuff you get from auto zone too. i used it on some stuff i got overspray on and it came off good too.

When I painted my interior I used rubbing alcohol, then nail polish remover when the alcohol ran out to touch up spots. I had to scrub pretty hard though.
And yes, you are gonna get high. Strangely, I did it at night under poor lighting, (i was more messed up than i thought apparently). The nail polish remover ended up taking a lot of my original paint off in the spots where i rubbed it and it looked pretty shitty. Overall, it didn't come out too bad.
But yeah, rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover will take it off .. along with your original paint - depending on how many layers of clear coat and paint you used. It would definitely take a lot of work to do and sanding is a good idea.
Good luck and post pics of how it turns out:)

I painted my door panels with non-vinyl paint. Then, I got some vinyl paint and painted over the other paint. Interesting thing was that the vinyl paint held to the other paint and just peeled right off. So I painted over it, peeled it, and then finally painted again with the vinly stuff. So... it you didn't use vinyl paint, trying spraying vinyl paint on there and see what it does. If you did use vinyl paint and are repainting, I recommend sanding it, and then cleaning it up with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.

f u c k all that alchohol noise! just lightly sand the surfaces, use some acetone for clean up, then prime and repaint simple as that, lasts for years that way...

DONT use paint thinner on plastic parts. Trust me. It will eat up the plastic in no time and ruin the part. Best bet is to sand as much of it off as you can. Thats it. Dont use any harsh chemicals on plastic.
