I just bought a OBX Racing Sport AT shifter. It looks alot like the RAZO AT w/od shifter. I took the old shifter off and there were three wires. they were the yellow, black and red. I didnt know which wires to hook up to make the overdrive work so i said screw it ad didnt worry about it. I finished putting the shifter on it fit on fine. Well anywayz I started the car up and the SRS light came on. Does the OD have to be hooked up? Any help would be apreciated. There were only two wiers comming out of the shifter and three wires to hook up. How so you wire it?

i dont think the shifter would have anything to do with the air bags ?

I have the razo. My O/D light doesn't work, but O/D does. If you lose overdrive, check your reverse lamp fuse. My OD quit and that's what it was. The yellow wire is going to be for the light. Red=power, black=ground. I had to use a dowel pin inside to make the button on top press enough to get the shifter into L.

The SRS light won't come on unless you mess with airbags. Where did you tap your shifter's wires into?

just hook red to red, black to black, and leave the yellow hanging.
My razo came with crimp connectors so I just clamped down and it spliced. If you can't get it, I can help you out at the next show or something. It doesn't take long if you figure it out. I had a dumbass moment and clipped my wires thinking they stayed in the shifter. Nope, they run down. I had to do some mad splicing. lol. Don't feel bad. It takes some thinking to get it. It was a pain getting the wires thru too. I think my main problem was- both wires on the razo were black I think now. I had to look in with a light and mark the one to the button as the positive. So, if they aren't black and red, hook the button wire to the red.

I'm totaly interested in these. are they ratchet style? where on earth do you get them?

hey...I also recently installed a jet-grip at shifter and noticed that there were two black wires. I had no idea which was ground and which was power. I tapped both ways to see the differences but couldnt really tell...instead I felt that it was always on overdrive. If I left the wires untouched would overdrive be on or off by default? If its on then thats a real bitch...I struggle going up the hills

The SRS light WILL come on if you blow the reverse lamp fuse (at least mine does). It is all hooked to the same fuse. But yeah, like 9d9 said, hook up the red and black and just leave the yellow taped. I had to put a object in the knob also to hit L. And I think if the wires are not connected you will by default be in OD. I may be wrong though. As for the guy that says you had 2 black wires....it shouldn't matter then which one you hook up to what. Just hook the red to one, and the black to the other. Like mentioned above your OD *LIGHT* wont work but OD will. Good luck.

I'm thinking maybe if you crimp the yellow into the power or ground wire (not an electrician, so I dunno which), the O/D light would still work. It just seems like it would in my head.

man for some damn reason it isn't working so I'm just going to screw it. I noticed that it was not on OD however so I guesss thats default. Thanks again for the help though.
