#39010, "center air vent ?"

When I turn the defroster for the front window on and the heat all the way up the center vent only blows cold air and the door blows hot air. Then when I turn it so it blows air at me the center is warmer but still not as warm as the door. Any ideas of how to fix? Because its pissing me off when its cold out side and i get cold air blown on me. Right now I'm just thinkin about blocking it off. Thanx for any help.

Thanks,
Chris

I was right there with him untill the light turned green.

This is normal> It's cold on the center vent so you don't dry your eyeballs out. I'm actually glad my car does that, myself. emoji

I suggest trying to pop off the plastic vent cover, and trying to look inside to see if anything is blocking it. How long have you had it? Did you buy it used? It could be cloged? Just check it!!

I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know emoji Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

Actually, that mysterious knob is the termperature bypass knob. If you are running heat, turning the dial makes it cooler, and vice versa. Works on my car!
